Subscribe to the Primary VodcastIn case you aren't familiar with vodcasts and podcasts, vodcasts distribute video and podcasts distribute audio content. If you have the latest version of Internet Explorer, you can subscribe to the vodcast by simply clicking on the RSS button on the vodcast page. If you have a program like iTunes or FireAnt (both free by the way) then you can subscribe to the content on the vlog and dowload it to your MP3 player or iPOD. You can also just watch the videos or listen to the MP3s on the vodcast page but the streaming videos take a while to download. Subscribing prevents long download times and jumpy video. If you own an iPod, you can dock it and when it syncs you will have these tutorials as portable learning content. Then you can listen or watch them when and where you want. If you would like to subscribe (automatically receive new videos and audio files when they are posted), download iTunes or FireAnt (or the aggregator of your choice) and subscribe to the vlog. To subscribe using iTunes, download the free iTunes player first. From the "Advanced" dropdown menu select "Subscribe to Podcast." A pop-up window will appear. TH-67 Engine Start Procedures This is a two page PDF document that outlines the procedures for engine start. This checklist picks up at the item "Engine Start Complete" on the Operator's Checklist. Make sure that you check with your IP to ensure that this start sequence is okay with your IP before you use it. Logbook Form 2408-12 This is a one page document that demonstrates how to complete the information on the DA Form 2408-12 located in the aircraft logbook. You will be required to complete both the 2408-12 and -13 for your P2 checkride. Make sure you ask your instructor for the ADP Code. Initial Entry Rotary Wing
This web site is designed to assist students attending the IERW (Initial Entry Rotary Wing) program at Ft. Rucker, AL.
Students should be advised that this web site should be used as a study guide rather than a sole source for academic information. Your primary source for the End-of-Stage checkride are the references listed in your FTG (Flight Training Guide). Before searching for additional study materials, you should first consult the checkride outline in the FTG. This outline is very specific regarding what categories and subjects will be addressed for the checkride. Finally, check with your instructor pilot to find out which study guides (if any) he/she recommends. Many of the commercially available study guides are out-of-date and contain errors.
